Especially in areas of particularly bad colour noise, DxO PureRAW is able to recover a good 90% of the underlying details.

Another feature I often disable is the vignette control. This, the lens sharpening, and the lens distortion modules are powerful, but should be used with restraint and on a case-by-case basis.

The difference between the before and after RAW vs. processed DNG is especially apparent in the saturated midtones and darks in the background. Noise isn’t completely eliminated, but it is reduced to a point it’s no longer a consideration.
